We’re delighted to have been asked to judge at ICAEW’s Business, Accounting and Skills Education (BASE) competition.

The contest is aimed at students (aged 16-19) and acts as a window into learning more about finance, accounting and business, through taking on real business challenges and networking with professionals in the field. They’ll gain invaluable employment skills and knowledge of accountancy, as well as tuning into local career options and working with potential employers.

Our managing director, Mandy Mitten, has agreed to judge Staffordshire’s heat and support our local students; she comments “it’s a fantastic opportunity for the students to get a real insight into our profession. We’ve been involved in a number of these competitions, and it’s always been good fun and great to spend time with our industry’s future generation.”

The Stoke-on-Trent heat will be held on 18 November at Stoke City’s Britannia stadium. After the 48 regional heats, the national final will take place in Birmingham, in June 2015.
