Our blog

Last year we updated you on what we’d learnt about auto-enrolment.  It would seem that The Pensions Regulator (TPR) has learnt one or two things in the last couple of years too!

TPR has acknowledged that significant numbers of small businesses don’t know their staging dates, and is now writing to 1.5 million of them in addition to its regular wake up letters, so that mass non-compliance is averted.

These letters will be sent out on a gradual basis over the coming months, however, as an employer you can look up your staging date on TPR’s website or we can do this for you.

The regulator has become very serious about non-compliance and has issued fines to 169 companies in the last quarter of 2014, with a further 1,139 compliance notices being issued in the same period.

If you’re in any doubt about what TPR expects from you before, on and after your staging date, please get in touch or see our employer’s auto-enrolment guide.

Of course if you’d like us to take care of all your auto-enrolment requirements, we’re more than happy to do so.
