The famous red book didn’t make an appearance at the Spring Statement, which was delivered in no less than 26 minutes – record timing I might add. This wasn’t a surprise as Philip Hammond made it clear in the build-up to the Spring Statement that it was going to be more of an economic update rather than the introduction of new policies.
At a glance, there were some key announcements including economic forecasts and a series of consultations on plastic pollution, VAT and diesel. Here’s your statement summary explaining how these updates may affect you and your business.
